Most of this week's 88 volunteers have checked in and spent the day preparing for tomorrow's family arrivals. Fun, laughter and productivity were the order of the day! Oh yeah, and tons of great food - thanks, Chef Jim! (We've only been here one day and, already, we've had homemade chicken noodle soup, grilled cheese sandwiches, brownies, banana pudding, shepherd's pie - already in its third appearance by popular demand - and, yes, dozens of PBJs! The menu for this week is incredible!)
Everyone is having a great time getting to know each other and renewing old friendships! I know I speak for all of us when I say we can't WAIT for the families to arrive tomorrow!!! It feels like Christmas is just a few hours away!
So... for those of you who are on your way to join us at the Lighthouse, please get some rest, drive safely and be prepared for tons of relaxation, renewal and FUN!
